Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
Ultrasonic testing is a family of non- destructive testing techniques based on the propagation of ultrasonic waves in the object or material tested. Ultrasonic Testing or Ultrasonic Inspection as conventionally called as UT testing is one of the most widely used Non destructive testing method to find internal flaws using Ultrasonic waves to inspect Ingots, Castings, forgings, rolled plates, sheets, bars, rods, weld joints, shafts, gears, and other engineering components in cast, forged, machined condition, during manufacturing and in-service inspections. Ultrasonic thickness testing is also used for measuring remaining wall thickness using Ultrasonic principle.

We can do contact, straight beam, angle beam, dual beam techniques, Every Ultrasonic equipment, probe and reference block is perfectly calibrated as per standard operating procedures. Ultrasonic inspections are carried out as per approved NDT procedures .
Ultrasonic testing used high frequency sounds energy to conduct examination and make measurements. Ultrasonic inspection can be
used for detection/evaluation, dimensional measurements, material characterization, and flaw sizing.
High penetration power, which allows the detection of flaws deep in the part
High sensitivity, permitting the detection of extremely small flaws. Results are immediate, hence on the spot decision can be made.
Machines are compact in size, handhold and portable to perform in remote areas
High skilled person required.
